Welcome to this episode of Markets Motivation. We have legendary contractors with us today, our new and upcoming builder here in Lafayette. So we have Blake Romero and Bobby Vanoy. So tell me a little bit how you guys got started. I mean because you're coming from different fields, I think. What sparked this?
Speaker 2:Well, I guess what started. So myself and Bobby have been friends for quite some time and always talked about going into business together, but never really knew what had an opportunity to learn and be mentored by another builder.
Speaker 1:Which is a good friend of mine. I think yeah, mr Bill.
Speaker 2:Shuffler. He kind of took us under his wing three, four, five years ago and we built a house together and it kind of created a spark and it kind of took off. Both myself and Bobby were in the all field before. I'm an engineer by trade and Bobby was a surveyor by trade, so we were both in the all field and fast forward here now, you know, having regretted one decision I made to change industries and change careers, and I enjoy it.
Speaker 1:And I think you guys are doing more than building now. What else do you guys do? Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 3:So we also have a landscaping company as well, so we do a lot of custom landscaping for commercial and residential, as well as additions and new construction.
Speaker 1:From what I understand, I think the wives. It's a family affair between all y'all. The wives will maybe friends first, right?
Speaker 3:The wives friends. First they work together at Oshner. They're both labor delivery nurses, so that's how we met and then we started this whole thing. They have a little interior design called Inspire by Legendary, so that's also their little kind of side project kicking off as well.
Speaker 1:So specializing in custom building. But no job too small, too big, right, I think you all do it, if you maybe even a major remodeling projects.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, we really do it all. There's nothing too big, too small, anywhere from a you know small addition or small patio in your outdoor kitchen to a May 9 plus home. We'll do it all.
Speaker 1:Landscaping to the wives delivering the babies right.
Speaker 3:That's right.
