Speaker 1:

Welcome to this episode of Margage Motivation Advice you can use in life, and today I have a dear friend, ms Allison Howard, that I'm so proud to bea part, and you welcome me into the mission and share a lot of the same goals and focus in life. So tell us a little bit about Women at the Well of Love and how it got started.

Speaker 2:

Thank you, mimi. Women at the Well of Love got started at the cross between myself going through an unwanted separation and divorce and Father John Joseph Bork being ordained as a priest in our diocese during COVID, and he recognized that some women who he went to give Eucharist who could not receive because of a divorced life situation, and so we met through a dear friend and said let's go do something about this, let's go inform the community about what's possible when you go through a difficult life circumstance and how can we ignite healing in our community and through the Catholic Church.

Speaker 1:

So it's definitely inner healing and Father John Joseph with a wonderful man, because I never forget the day that he said I would love for you to call my friend Allison Howard and find out more about this mission we're working on, and I'm so grateful I did, most of all because now I have you as a friend. Amen, you know. Yeah, let's say that one more time. Thank God for that right. God puts people in your life for a certain reason and I really feel that's what he has done with us. So excited about the group that we have and the ladies that we work together, and we recently just finished our first women's Spanish event. But let's talk about the upcoming events we have.

Speaker 2:

Awesome. So, yes, we just finished our Hispanic ministry event and we're looking forward to seeing how we can continue to reach the Hispanic ministry. So I want to make sure we say that so far in 2023, we completed three women at the well of love day retreats. These are day retreats specifically for women, but we're looking to grow the ministry and it's already happening. So on March 23rd, we have walking a declaration of nullity. It's for those who are seeking to apply for annulment or to invalidate their marriage so that they would be eligible for remarriage in the Catholic Church. That's gonna happen at St Pius. We have a small group series starting on March the 16th and Kaplan at Holy Rosary, and then, finally, the fellas have asked to join us, and so we're gonna have a men's retreat specifically for men on May 4th, also at St Pius.

Speaker 1:

We're so excited. Father Brady has allowed for us to make Pius our home base and we'll have the opportunity to use our new facility, which is the new life center, which is the former old church, you know. So I can't wait to get in there and I feel like the Holy Spirit definitely is going to be strong in that building. So many people miss the older church and our new church is so beautiful, of course, but you know when you have memories there, so they're going to be at St Pius. Alison, tell me a little bit about you and your coaching, and I know you have many hats that you wear, but let's talk a little bit about you and some of the individual services that you offer the women through your coaching.

Speaker 2:

Awesome. So I do one-on-one coaching and it's primarily women who are walking through a circumstance similar as mine. That's how I started. I started talking to women across the community who were suffering through a broken family life circumstance and they're just asking questions how did you do it? How did you get through it? What did you do? You should write a book, you should start a podcast, you should help people. So all of those suggestions came from the outside and so I did it. I put myself through life coaching school. I apprenticed for a year, started small groups and it's just been growing from there. And then I started branching out because in my former life I had a business. And how did I grow that business? What did I do? How did I make money? And so I've been able to just tell people what I've done and share the tips, tools of the trade that I used to be successful. In many ways, I'm very thankful for all the many hats that I wear. I say I have for-profit and non-for-profit. There is a space for you somewhere on my boundary shield.

Speaker 1:

I love it. For-profit, not-for-profit, I like that I might have to share that one. You know, take that one from you. So again, women of the Well Love. The website is up and running. If you're in need of the services, please reach out to us. The upcoming events are on the website as well. But of course, it is non-profit, so we are looking for donors who can assist with the ministry to keep it going. Whether it be $5 a month or $1, one time $1 donation, all donations are welcome, but also the volunteers that we need, and it's bringing the group together. So you can also volunteer on the website as well, right?

Speaker 2:

Yes, we fill out our contact form and we will find you Awesome.

Speaker 1:

Thank you for your efforts. Thank you for being my friend. I'm super excited to be on this journey with you. I can't wait to see how far that would grow together in the mission grows Super excited about. Can't reveal what we're working on, but we have some excited things coming out, not just for Kati Annab, hopefully for the state and beyond and beyond. So please pray for us. But if you're interested in obtaining coaching from Allison because you're in that situation, please reach out. If you're interested in one of the upcoming events, please visit the website. And what's that website? Again?

Speaker 2:

wwwwomenathewellofloveorg. And then my personal website is wwwallisonrenaycom, and that's Allison with 1L and an I and Renee with two E's 1L.

Speaker 1:

Look, I have that 1L down pack. 1l Allison with 1L. Okay, but please visit the website. We would love to have you part of our group. Whether you've. You know, every I feel everyone in our community is affected by divorce one way or another it's. If it's not a direct impact, it's grandparents, teenagers, and I think our main mission is to stop it at some point. Divorce rate is 54% in the nation and if we don't at some point stop, it will continue to get worse and worse. So we know, sometimes it happens because neither one of us wanted to be put in that position, and it's God brings us to it, it brings us through it. So please join, allison and I. We would love to talk to you. Allison's available for coaching. We are looking for donors, volunteers, and if you just want us to listen, just give us a call. We're here for you, right, right, thank you. I appreciate you. I appreciate you.
